The RunBelfast 2026 running season is fast upon us. Our ninth season offers the five events listed below. The Paces for PAWS 5K will be run on the Belfast Rail Trail starting at the Depot at the far end of the trail. The Kilted Canter 5K will also use the Rail Trail with start/finish on Front Street near the Front Street Pub. It compliments Maine Celtic Celebration activities over the weekend of Jul 17-19. Wearing kilts is encouraged. The Bug Run is held the Saturday of the Belfast Rotary Harbor Fest, to be held August 8-9. It offers a fairly flat course that includes a few gentle hills, shaded neighborhoods, a stretch along the waterfront, and the Armistice Foot Bridge across the Passagassawakeag River. The Hospice Volunteers 5K will be run on the Belfast Rail Trail, as well, starting at the Depot at the far end of the trail. The Ghostly Gallop will be staged out of Belfast Area High School with a course that winds through scenic Belfast neighborhoods. Costumed runners and spectators are welcome as a celebration of Halloween festivities. Note:  There will be a special sign-up sheet available race-day morning of the Paces for PAWS 5K for individuals who plan to run all five RunBelfast events. See details below. SERIES REGISTRATION

​There will be a special sign-up sheet available the morning of June 13 during pre-registration for the Paces for PAWS 5K for individuals who plan to run all six RunBelfast events. By completing the sign-up sheet and paying a fee of $100, an individual will be registered for all six runs and will be eligible for any run related goodies.
