RUNBELFAST 2025
The RunBelfast 2025 running season is fast upon us. Our eighth season offers the six events listed below. Paces for PAWS will be run on the Belfast Rail Trail starting at the Depot at the far end of the trail. The Run Wild! 5K will also use the Rail Trail. This year, Run Wild! is looking to have a 10K run. Runs will have their start/finish on Front Street near Marshall Wharf. The Bug Run is held the Saturday during Harbor Fest festivities. It offers a fairly flat course that includes a few gentle hills, shaded neighborhoods, a stretch along the waterfront, and the Armistice Foot Bridge across the Passagassawakeag River. The Lions Kilted Canter and Ghostly Gallop will be staged out of Belfast Area High School with a common course that winds through scenic Belfast neighborhoods. The Kilted Canter is a run from the past to be held the Saturday of the Maine Celtic Celebration. Wearing kilts is encouraged. Costumed runners and spectators are welcome as a celebration of Halloween for the Ghostly Gallop. The new addition to our schedule is the Hospice Volunteers of Waldo County 5K. It, too, will be run on the Belfast Rail Trail starting at the Depot at the far end of the trail. Note: There will be a special sign-up sheet available race-day morning of the Paces for PAWS 5K for individuals who plan to run all six RunBelfast events. See details below. So come join us, either for one or more or even all our events.
